Sheriff Alex Truman has a peaceful life dealing with lost dogs, trivial disputes, and a few drunks here and there. He should be the happiest lawman in the world. But there's just one small part of him that longs for some excitement, for something that would break the monotony he doesn't even realise is eating him alive. One cold November night it seems his unspoken wishes may have been granted when he’s involved in a car accident with a man who appears suddenly in the middle of the road. Alex is fine, but the man ends up in hospital with a broken leg, and several cracked ribs. Nobody knows who this guy is or where he has come from, and to make matters worse, he won’t speak. Finally the town has its first real mystery, and Alex is overjoyed. But that joy is to be short lived. With no way of finding out the man’s identity, he’s moved to the local state mental health facility, and life in Deacon Oaks goes back to normal, until two months later when Alex gets a call informing him that the “road guy” has at last spoken. Three words were all he would say – “Cold Winter Farm, Cold Winter Farm, Cold Winter Farm”, over and over again.Alex has no idea what it means, but he does know that Cold Winter Farm is on the edge of town, and that’s good enough. The mystery is back, and Alex wants to get to the bottom of it right away. Problem is, the biggest storm in fifty years is heading towards town – he’ll never make it out to the farm and back before the storm hits. But Alex doesn’t care – something deep inside is driving him – he has to know who the “road guy” is, and he has to know now. Abandoning all rational thought and ignoring the warnings of his deputy, he grabs the keys to the 4x4 and heads out.Ten minutes after he arrives at the farm, the storm is so out of control, that it uproots a tree, which falls onto the house, crushing the roof, and trapping Alex in the basement. That’s not all though. The fallen tree has opened up a hidden doorway, which leads to a secret corridor. At the end of the corridor is an elevator, and the only place it can go is down. With no chance of being rescued until the next day, and with the overpowering need to find answers drowning out the fear he feels, Alex decides to take the elevator down. But what will be waiting for him at the bottom? Will it explain the origins and identity of the “road guy”? Will it explain why the “road guy” was walking in the middle of the road, in the middle of the night, in the middle of the freezing winter? Will it explain why he wouldn’t speak for two months? And if it does, will the answers be simple, or will they be ultimately more disturbing and terrifying than anyone could imagine?Enhanced EditionThe "enhanced" edition of Corrosion: Cold Winter Waiting has been converted from its original square (4:3) resolution of 1024x768 to a higher widescreen (16:9) resolution of 1280x720 to better suit widescreen displays.Other updates include a new inventory and larger in game text for easier reading, as well as several general improvements throughout. 7aa9394dea Title: Corrosion: Cold Winter Waiting [Enhanced Edition]Genre: Adventure, IndieDeveloper:ViperantePublisher:ViperanteRelease Date: 1 Jul, 2015 Corrosion: Cold Winter Waiting [Enhanced Edition] Free Download [cheat] corrosion cold winter waiting enhanced edition. corrosion cold winter waiting enhanced edition badge The Good:I really, really enjoyed the story of this game. It was engaging, mysterious, and very well put together. A lot of games like this leave lots of holes, or leave you completely hanging at the end so that you have no idea what was happening - but this game has a great pace of releasing information to you. You'll slowly understand more and more until, near the end, you realize the truth. And when you do, it's extremely satisfying. I genuinely enjoyed exploring every aspect of this world and learning about the game - and I think the story is much stronger than the average game. For this reason, I highly recommend playing this game. The Bad:The controls are completely wonky, especially at first when you're trying to get used to it. It's kind of hard to navigate and the interface is not exactly user friendly. As an example, there are rooms in which you have to move to the back and then return to the front on the other side in order to get to something by the door - which is a lot of clicks that really just shouldn't be there. It's very easy to become disoriented and confused in attempting to navigate, and some hidden objects are very finicky and require you to be on a certain exact spot in order to interact with them. The Very Bad:This game is impossible without a walkthrough. Like, the puzzles are completely absurd. There were at least 3 parts where the things you have to do and find are so ludicrous that I felt like I was building a Rube Goldberg machine. Honestly, the story is so good that getting through these is worth it. But I do recommend a walkthrough, which you'll end up using more often than not. I honestly have no idea how the walkthrough writers managed to figure this stuff out because there's simply no way you would know some of the things that the game expects you to know. For example: entering precise phrases into a fake google search (including proper capitalization) without being prompted (maybe if I were psychic this wouldn't be a problem), clicking on a random screw hiding on a random table that doesn't even highlight when you hover over it, building contraptions that honestly don't really make sense and are unprompted, returning to random rooms and finding that something very small has changed, and solving very tedious puzzles that take more work than they're worth. I'm generally pretty good at these kinds of games and usually try very hard not to use a walkthrough, but this was the most ridiculously difficult one I've ever encountered.--Anyway, all in all I think the story is so good that the game is absolutely worth it. Just sit down with a walkthrough and don't hesitate to look things up if you get stuck. You probably won't figure it out alone, so no use fretting over it.. Definitely a tad above the average horror adventure game in indie space. Needed a walkthrough to make it through several spots but overall very enjoyable-kudos to the developers.. Great game! Tons of fun! Good puzzles and game play.. Don't know why this game has so many great reviews, just trying to navigate in the game sucks any fun out of it. Can't enjoy a game when you spend 30 minutes stuck trying to zoom out and move.. stock footage - washing machine sounds used to kill demons- the worst voice acting I have ever heard in a videogame- poorly written dialogues- movement and orientation system gives you a headache- general confusion- atmosphere- not playable without a full walkthrough guide- list goes on+ easy 100% achivs. Outstanding horror game! This was a serious breath of fresh air for me, I've played many of the so called "horror" games that get talked about such as F.E.AR. Amnesia, Outlast, Dead Space, etc and found them to be mediocre, nothing like the original 90s classics like RE, Silent Hill and others which always had a unique way of making you terrified without constantly needing things to jump out at you. This game brought me right back to the 90s, pure raw atmospheric storytelling, you have no Idea what is going on and it is scary as HELL, the story is very mysterious and many of the puzzles are challenging and require some thought and a pen and paper!I highly reccomend this game, it was an absolute love letter to the horror genre which has became too focused on jumpscares, overused Unity assets and YouTube reactions recently. My only complaint is that it would be nice to be able to change the resolution in-game, windowed mode had me occasionally minimising the game by accidentally clicking outside of the window while moving around, but this is a minor complaint.Buy it and you will NOT regret it!. The gameplay is disorienting. The story is interesting though a bit flawed. The turn of events at the end is very well done.. If you like point click, slightly difficult puzzles, good story line up until the end...but I give it a solid 5/10. Try to use your brain and not a walkthrough. I did use it once or twice though. Buy this if it's 4.99 or under and it will be worth it if you enjoy being a detective in your second life.. Enjoyed how much Corrosion made me think outside the box, and for a very reasonable price. Patience required if you're going to buy this game.. This was pretty good, I admit. I'm not a huge fan of Horror and I really appreciated the lack of Jumpscares. You play as Sheriff Truman, and you are investigating a place called “Cold Winter Farm.” As soon as you winter the building, you are trapped and cannot leave, and so you press onward. So begins the game, Corrosion: cold Winter Waiting. On average the game will take about 8 – 11 hours of gameplay, but with a guide you can knock it down to 3. :) Update to v1.2.2: Game is updated to v1.2.2Some people were having trouble using the ESC key to access the main menu, which was preventing saving. This update allows you to press F1 instead to access the main menu. This update will ONLY work with NEW GAMES. It will not work with save games. But if you have saved your game, you won't have experienced the ESC key issue anyway, and so you can continue to play the game as normal. Thanks. Dan. :).
